Waterford Wrestling Camp June 1-3

Registration fee is $75.00 (Cash or Check) for each wrestler. Fee includes lunch each day, and a camp t-shirt. On-site registration begins a 9:00 am on June 1st. Camp begins at 9:30 am each day.

2005 California State Champion @ 125 lbs. Hughson High School, Hughson, CA

Rick LaFerriere –
His personal wrestling career spans 34 years from his first Shaler Area high school section championship in 1968 @ 138 lbs, to his 187 lb, 2nd place finish, at the Veterans National Championship, in Las Vegas, in 2002. He wrestled at Edinboro State College from 1968-1972. In 1971 he was Pennsylvania State Freestyle Open Champion.
Rick coached wrestling for 34 years at Shaler Area High School, Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, as an assistant for 15 years, and as head coach for 19 years. He coached 153 section place winners, 52 section champions and 48 section runner-ups. His 19 year dual meet record is 247-100-1. In 1996, he was selected as a runner-up for National Coach of the Year, by USA Wrestling Magazine.
Since 1978 he has officiated at 55 National Freestyle/Roman Greco tournaments, 12 US National Freestyle/Roman Greco championships, over 30 International events, 5 Canada Cups, 1 Pan-American Championship, and 2 World Championships. He is a FILA II and US M-1 level certified referee. In 2002 Rick was selected as outstanding official at the Oleg Nemiev Tournament in Vladikoskov, Russia
